Ford Australia has added another Everest variant to its local lineup, this time with the Everest Wolftrak, borrowing styling cues from its Ranger Wolftrak sibling.

Following the launch of the updated Ranger and Everest lineups earlier this year, the Wolftrak badge and styling has now been applied to the SUV, giving it neon green badging, and the Traction Green paintwork which is best known for featuring on the Ranger Super Duty.

Available in 2.0-litre four-cylinder or 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel guise, prices for the Everest Wolftrak start from $73,000 drive-away for the entry-level engine, and rise to $79,990 plus on-roads for the more powerful variant – both $3000 more than the Everest Sport.

Depending on the location, this brings the V6’s drive-away price to around $87,500 to $90,000, widening the financial gap to the four-cylinder.

Based on the Everest Sport, the Wolftrak adds a handful of cosmetic changes, such as its lime green badging and grille inserts, embroidered front seats, as well as a standard tow bar and brake controller.

While it’s fitted as standard with 20-inch black wheels with highway terrain tyres, smaller 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres and a green insert are available as a no-cost option.

Like the Ranger Wolftrak, the Everest variant features synthetic leather-look seat upholstery, now standard on the lower Active and Sport grades as well.

Ford hasn’t announced how limited the Everest Wolftrak will be, having restricted how many Ranger versions it made, while applying the same ethos to the previously available Everest Wildtrak.

Year-to-date, the Ford Everest remains the best-selling large SUV in local showrooms, though it continues to be locked in a close battle with the Toyota LandCruiser Prado.
