Many Australians dream of touring the country when they retire, usually in a big 4x4 such as a Toyota LandCruiser or Nissan Patrol, but for one American, he’s going to try and do the same in some imported muscle.

Keith Sinclair has been on a quest to drive across all seven continents with his Dodge Challenger, having so far completed three continents (North America, Europe and Asia), and now he’s set to arrive at his fourth: Australia.

Posting to social media platform Instagram, Sinclair (who goes by the handle [sinclairs\_search](https://www.instagram.com/sinclairs%5Fsearch?ref=torquecafe.com)) announced his proposed route for the Australian leg of his trip, which will start in Brisbane where the car is currently en route to.

Aiming to undertake the drive with no GPS and largely staying off Highway 1 – which is a ring road connecting the major mainland cities – Sinclair will first venture north to the northernmost tip of Cape York, before heading west towards Perth via the Northern Territory.

On his leg back to the east coast, he plans to drive to Uluru, while later stopping in at Adelaide, venturing down to Tasmania, going in-land from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, and heading back down to Sydney.

Online commenters have attempted to warn him of the potential dangers of driving through Australia, from the impacts of the wet season to the risk of animal strikes at night.

The car will certainly stand out, with the Challenger R/T Scat Pack never having been sold here.

Powered by a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine, its modifications include a lift kit and a roof pod, upgrades which have so far proven worthwhile on its adventures so far.
