Ford has finally confirmed the long-expected arrival of the Mustang Mach-E to lead its charge into an electric future. The pony car-inspired electric SUV will arrive on local roads by the end of 2023.
Ford Australia will launch its first electric vehicles, the E-Transit and E-Transit Custom before it, but the Mustang Mach-E is the blue oval’s obvious EV hero model. It will be available in three trim levels in Australia – Select, Premium and the high-performance GT.

The Mach-E GT is powered by a dual-motor powertrain that makes 358kW of power and 860Nm of torque, which is enough for it to launch from 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, while the 91kWh battery provides 490km of range.

Full details of the Mustang Mach-E range, including pricing, won’t be revealed until later this year when it goes on sale.
