The stats make impressive reading – 330kW, 820Nm and a 4.1 second 0-100km/h – the kind of figures you expect for a sports car with a powerful petrol engine.
But these stats belong to an electric SUV, specifically the all-new Porsche Macan 4S. The German brand had already revealed its electric Macan earlier this year, and the first example recently made its public debut in Australia, but now the brand has doubled the line-up with two new variants.
The Macan 4S and new entry-level Macan join the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo in an initial four-strong range that are all available for Australian orders now, with deliveries of the new models due in early 2025.

The Macan 4S gets a new rear-axle motor to boost its performance but also gets Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive dampers as standard to ensure it handles sharply too.
The Macan entry model gets a new 100kWh battery which powers a rear-axle motor, making it a rear-wheel drive model. Still, it makes 250kW and 563Nm so it still has Porsche-levels of performance, with a 5.7 second 0-100km/h time and 220km/h top speed. Crucially without a front-axle motor it weighs 110kg less than the all-wheel drive Macan 4.
