Priceless Holdens including even original factory prototypes and Peter Brock memorabilia will go under the hammer this weekend as the National Holden Motor Museum in Echuca, Victoria, prepares to shutter its doors for the very last time.
At least 30 cars including those formerly on display at the museum are available to bidders, from an original FX Holden ute to an HQ Monaro GTS 350, to the “super rare” HJ Statesman coupe.
“Many of the vehicles are being offered on an unreserved basis,” said the sellers.

Rare Holden-themed memorabilia is also up for grabs, including original brochures, customised number plates, car parts including engines, vintage Holden flags, model cars, even non-functioning, full-scale prototype models including the original design mock-up for the left-hand-drive VT Commodore. Eight motorcycles are also for sale.
More than 778 lots are available in the auction as part of the historic auction.
“Many items will be ‘one-offs’ and put simply, never available for sale,” added the sellers. “Many items have been rescued from the Holden manufacturing plants and dealerships scattered across the country. A catalogue not to be missed.”

The auction will take place at the Echuca National Holden Motor Museum’s premises at 7-11 Warren Street, Echuca, Victoria, this Saturday, May 18, from 8am and continuing Sunday, May 19, from 9am.
The Echuca National Holden Motor Museum closed its doors to the public for the last time on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
