Supercheap Auto will carry ‘Proudly Australian’ branding on its wildcard entry in this year’s Bathurst 1000 event.

The Supercheap Auto Commodore being prepared by Triple Eight Race Engineering and raced by veteran Russell Ingall and Broc Feeney was officially unveiled today at the company’s head office in Strathpine, Brisbane.

Standing behind the Bathurst 1000 wildcard entry is a team of more than 4,000 Supercheap Auto team members, from over 300 Supercheap Auto retail outlets – some of whom were on hand to see the car for the first time with its new colour scheme today.

The launch was live-streamed online to ensure fans at home continue to be part of the wildcard journey and share their Bathurst passion.

The car will carry ‘The Enforcer and the Kid’ branding relating to the Ingall and Feeney partnership – the oldest/youngest driver combination in the history of the Bathurst event.

The Bathurst livery also includes ToolPro branding as the official tool partner of the team, as well as trade partners Century Batteries, Armor All, Bosch, Bendix and Sperling.

Supercheap Auto first came into Supercar racing as a team sponsor 23 years ago and has become one of the most recognisable brands in Australian motorsport through various levels of sponsorship.

The Supercheap Auto wildcard will have one final test day leading up to the Bathurst event, which is scheduled to be held November 30 – December 5.

BENJAMIN WARD – MANAGING DIRECTOR, SUPERCHEAP AUTO

“Today is about bringing our team together, sharing our passion for Bathurst and our continued commitment to Australian motorsport,” said Ward.

“We are proudly Australian owned and the team environment we have built around our long-term commitment to the sport is quite incredible and worth celebrating.

“This wildcard with Russell and Broc takes our partnership with The Great Race to a new level and we’re excited to be reuniting with our fans at Bathurst come December.

“The Supercheap Auto Bathurst Supercar looks fantastic and we are proud to unveil the final race livery with our fans and team. It looks racey and I can’t wait to see it at Mount Panorama.”

RUSSELL INGALL – DRIVER

“I think if there was any doubt about the passion Supercheap Auto and its people have for motorsport, they have all been erased today,” said Ingall.

“Supercheap Auto has always been proudly Australian and has been a part of so many people’s lives. I think the ‘Proudly Australia’ branding is perfect to carry on a car sponsored by Supercheap Auto which is an incredible Australian business success story.

“This whole exercise has seen a collaboration from so many people. All of them getting on with the job with a real Australian ‘can do’ attitude.

“I think the car will be one of the best looking race cars I have ever driven at Bathurst and I cannot wait to see the fans’ reaction.”

BROC FEENEY – DRIVER

“I think the car looks fantastic,” said Feeney.

“I really feel the passion for motorsport within the Supercheap Auto family and it’s pretty cool to be racing in these iconic colours at Bathurst.

“I think it will be one of the best looking race cars out there. Let’s hope it is one of the fastest as well.”
