When the Chevrolet Corvette finally arrived in Australian showrooms earlier this year there was very little in the way of choice. For starters, every example was already spoken for but even those customers didn’t all get to choose exactly what colour, trim or wheel combination they preferred.
That was because, for General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV), just getting that first shipment of Corvettes was a major challenge, with both the pandemic and the all-new right-hand drive production line meaning supply was severely constrained; so it was a case of ‘you get what you get and you don’t get upset’.

That changes for the 2023 model year (MY23) ‘Vette, with GMSV announcing a new range of personalisation options are now available to Australian customers.
These include three new alloy wheel options, black exhaust tips, an ‘Adrenaline Red’ interior package and blackout interior trim.
For those who are lucky enough to get an order in, GMSV has confirmed that the next batch of Corvettes are due to ship for local shores in the fourth quarter of this year.
“C8 Corvette is a vehicle which elicits a huge amount of passion and excitement amongst owners and fans,” said Joanne Stogiannis, Director of GMSV.
“It is a very dramatic car, full of character and personality, and now with the possibility of making changes to certain features we are providing new owners with the opportunity to make their Corvette their own, to a greater extent than has been possible before.
“We’re proud to be able to deliver this chance to our new C8 owners and am sure they will take pleasure in finessing some of the finer details relating to their new Corvette.”
