Fresh from a podium sweep of the TCR class in the Nürburgring 24-hours, Hyundai has revealed its new all-electric entry in the 2024 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
A pair of specially modified 505kW Ioniq 5 N will compete in the Time Attack class of the Pikes Peak event, driven by an all-star line-up of former WRC regular Dani Sordo and Robin Shute, a four-time Pikes Peak outright winner.

Instead of chasing the outright record, Hyundai has opted to target the records for modified electric SUVs to better showcase the powertrain in the Ioniq 5 N. Modifications for the Time Attack class cars include new shock absorbers, racing-grade brakes, slick tyres and the unmissable aerodynamic upgrades.
The Pikes Peak specials were revealed at the Nürburgring 24-hours (which only lasted 10 hours this year due to fog), where a trio of Elantra N TCR (badged as i30 Sedan N in Australia) claimed first, second and third in the TCR class, representing teams from North America, Europe and China.
