Greg Murphy has slowed down and is enjoying the scenery in his post-Supercars life.
The Kiwi touring car legend recently finished the 2024 KTM New Zealand Adventure Rallye, a five day cross-country trip aboard the famous Austrian bikes.
“This year we started off in the Coastal town of New Plymouth on the West Coast, we then started making our way east to Whanganui, Palmerston North, and Masterton before we made our way South to New Zealand’s Capital, Wellington,” Murphy explained.
“Riders got to experience so many different types of terrain and challenges. Starting the Rallye off on the slippery clay on the west coast, the terrain changed each day as we moved east and then south. From open farm lands, forests, high ridge lines and down on to the coast with some epic beach riding along the coast line.”
He added: “This years KTM NZ Adventure Rallye had pretty much everything an Adventure rider could wish for. We covered over 2000kms and experienced so many different types of terrain, some challenging and some very challenging and technical. There is no doubt we are incredibly fortunate to have the access to some of the places we went – the pictures really do tell the story.”
