Half the wheels, double the fun! Torquecafe is pleased to announce that we’ll be expanding our motorcycle coverage, with experienced journalist Kate Peck joining the team.
Torquecafe’s extended motorcycle coverage will include everything from reviews (of both bikes and gear), the latest model information, analysis and feature coverage as well as interviews from key industry figures.
Self-confessed ‘moto tragic’, Kate brings with her years of riding bikes on and off-road around Australia, Africa, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Wales and India – as well as her depth of knowledge of years working in the media.
The tipping point for Kate’s life was when she flew to Africa for a three-month off-road motorcycle adventure with her dad in her early 20s. She admits that on that ride she fell hook, line and sinker for the dark arts of two-wheeling chaos and made it her mission to combine her love of motorcycles with her job in media. And that she has done.
After five years of co-hosting Channel Ten’s RPM motorsport program, she then transitioned to host the live television coverage on SBS and Stan Sport of the Australian ProMX, the Australian Superbike Championship and anchoring The Aus Moto Show, a motorcycle panel show.
But while she’s comfortable in front of the camera, where Kate is most happy is on a bike, wherever that may take her – even the wilds of Mongolia. As you’ll read in her first piece for Torquecafe, Kate recounts her most recent moto escapade, spending two weeks riding across the stunning landscape of Mongolia.
Kate’s arrival comes shortly after Roland Dane’s addition to the Torquecafe line-up as we continue to grow our site to bring you a fresh take on the motoring business – and include a motorsport twist.
We hope you enjoy our expanded coverage as we bring you everything you need to know on both two wheels and four.
