BMW continues its 50th anniversary celebrations of its M Division with the reveal of the new-for-2023 M2 coupe.
Billed as the brand’s ‘pocket rocket’ the all-new M2 is powered by the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine as its bigger sibling, the M4 Coupe. This inline six pumps out a healthy 338kW of power and 550Nm of torque, which is enough for it to run 0-100km/h in just 4.1 seconds.
For driving enthusiasts the M2 remains available with a six-speed manual gearbox, or there’s an eight-speed automatic for those who prefer.
The new-look model features a carbon fibre roof for the first time, which will be standard equipment on Australian models.
BMW Australia has confirmed the M2 will arrive down under in the first half of 2023 and will be priced from $119,900 plus on-road costs.
