Cameron Waters may be famous for racing a Ford Mustang, but he’ll be cruising around the streets in this classic Ford Falcon XB Coupe.
The Tickford Racing star’s project car was revealed this weekend at the MotorEx car show in Melbourne after a lengthy and highly detailed build process. Waters worked with custom car specialists, Rides by Kam, to produce this striking Aussie muscle car and admitted he was “ecstatic” with the finished product.

The blue oval ace was involved with every element of the design and build of the car, including choosing the Porsche paint colour and selecting an appropriate and powerful engine.
Waters worked with engine builder Jon Grove to utilise an ex-Supercar V8 engine, complete with race-used heads and an FPR/Tickford Racing top end, but with the capacity bumped to 6.0-litres (369ci). This helps with driveability and performance, with Grove claiming the engine is good for 555kW (745hp) and 813Nm (600ft-lb). It’s paired to a six-speed Tremec Magnum manual, because Waters said he wants to drive the car and not just cruise around.
The exterior is finished in Amethyst Metallic, which is originally a Porsche colour, but looks amazing on the big Ford. The wheels are 19-inches at the front and 20-inches rear and are finished in bronze.
The interior features seats from an FG Falcon ute and is trimmed almost entirely in Alcantara for a sportier look and feel than leather. While it’s retro in nature, Waters has added some technology with a Haltech 10-inch digital dashboard.
Unfortunately Waters wasn’t able to be on-hand to reveal his new wheels at MotorEx as he’s currently in the USA competing in his second NASCAR Truck Series race at Kansas Motor Speedway.
