British brand Jaguar is commemorating its victory in the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans with a limited edition F-Pace SVR.
The F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 is finished in unique Midnight Amethyst paint, Champagne Gold forged alloy wheels and exclusive Sunset Gold accents which are taken from the famous Silk Cut livery from the winning Jaguar XJR-9LM. It’s still powered by the same 405kW supercharged 5.0-litre V8.
Only 394 examples of the Edition 1988 will be built and only 20 of those will come to Australia, priced from $189,531 (plus on-road costs), and will begin arriving in the final quarter of the year.
The winning Jaguar was run by Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) the winning car was driven by Jan Lammers, Johnny Dumfires and Andy Wallace. Australia’s Larry Perkins finished fourth sharing his TWR XJR-9LM with Derek Daly and Kevin Cogan.
