2024 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT

XRT – it’s three letters that Hyundai hopes will lure buyers away from the likes of the Toyota LandCruiser Prado and into its latest Santa Fe SUV, as previously reported by Torquecafe.

Of course, just adding three letters won’t help, but the XRT Peak and XRT Adventure genuine accessories packages come with a raft of upgrades to make the style-focused Santa Fe more off-road capable. As we reported in April, Hyundai has wider plans for the XRT brand, with packs for both the Tucson and Palisade already unveiled in the USA.

Hyundai Australia has worked with its colleagues at the Hyundai America Technical Centre to help develop these new accessories, which include both cosmetic changes but also new suspension and wheel and tyre set-ups. A team of Hyundai Australia engineers tested the Santa Fe XRT components in the American desert to ensure they offered a practical upgrade.

The Hyundai Santa Fe XRT gets unique wheels and tyres

According to Hyundai the changes to the suspension (which include new Mando dampers and XRT-specific knuckles and stabiliser bars) and the new 17-inch alloy wheel and all-terrain tyre add a 30mm lift to the Santa Fe. It also helps to improve the approach, departure and breakover angles by two degrees.

The XRT Peak is the more comprehensive package, adding the new wheels and tyres, suspension kit, integrated side step (in black), bonnet protector, roof platform, XRT mud flaps, roof racks, underbody skid plate and stylevisors, for an additional $9900 (which includes fitment at your Hyundai dealer).

The XRT Adventure option only costs $6990 but only includes the wheel and tyre package, suspension updates, XRT mud flaps and the underbody skid plate.
