Looking for an alternative to the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series but struggling to find something to match the Toyota’s rugged, go anywhere capability? Well, Ineos could have you covered.
The start-up British brand has recently announced that the Grenadier Quartermaster Cab Chassis is now available to order in Australia and revealed a partnership with a local tray supplier. Ineos is working with Norweld to provide ready-made trays for locally delivered models, so those who don’t want to customise their own set-up for the rear end.

Norweld has actually designed three different trays for the Grenadier – Deluxe, Deluxe Plus and Elite. The Deluxe features a 4mm one-piece floor, 76mm tube headboard, extruded sideboards, 40-litre water tank, under tray toolboxes and a 1200mm trundle drawer; while the total dimensions of the tray are 1826mm x 1850mm.
Stepping up to the Deluxe Plus tray sees it painted body colour to match the finish of the vehicle’s cabin, while the Elite tray adds an additional locking drawer slide and drop in table, as well as colour-coded painted side plates to complete its look.
To spur initial interest Ineos is offering a $7000 “contribution” towards a Norweld tray for the “first wave” of local customers. However, the starting price for the Grenadier dual-cab ute is $102,000 (plus on-road costs).
