Restomods are all the rage these days, especially Porsches, so it takes something special to stand out.
The Tedson Motors Daydream R is something special.
An understated star of the recent 2024 New York Motor Show, the Tedson Daydream R is a one-off creation built for former New York Giants NFL star (now television presenter), Michael Strahan, by the Tedson firm.

Never heard of Tedson Motors? Neither had we until we laid eyes on this stunning creation, but it’s clear the company has a vision. Tedson founder and CEO, Goran Turić, didn’t want to compete directly against the likes of Singer or RWB and instead tried to find a unique take on the iconic German sports cars.

Turić’s idea was to take Porsche’s older models, in this case the 964-generation of the 911, and imagine what it would look like if it came out of the factory today. The result is the Daydream R, which has been built for Strahan to be the ultimate performance version.
To that end, and in keeping with the idea of a modern take on an older model, the Daydream R has a 992-generation style bodykit, complete with swan-neck rear wing. Under the bonnet is a 425kW powertrain that combines Porsche’s iconic flat-six engine with a Formula 1-inspired KERS hybrid system, enough for the Daydream R to run 0-100km/h in just 2.6 seconds.

In order to fit the former NFL star, who is not a small human, Tedson custom fit the cabin, including fitting Recaro seats taken from a McLaren 720S.
Strahan took delivery of the Daydream R at the New York show and will add it to his garage that already includes a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Porsche Carrera GT, McLaren Senna, Mercedes-McLaren SLR and Aston Martin Vanquish – amongst others.
