Torquecafe has entered a new era, launching a new-look website and adding motor racing legend Roland Dane to its roster.
While he’s best-known to Australian fans as a motor racing identity, Dane has spent his entire adult life working in the automotive industry.
The championship winning former race team boss has not only driven countless cars, but he’s also built cars, sold cars and now collects cars – so he’ll be able to bring Torquecafe readers a unique perspective to automotive coverage in this country.
As with his Roland’s View column on sister-site, Speedcafe, Dane won’t pull any punches and will provide an honest and thought-provoking take on the cars we drive and the people that make, market and sell them.
“I’m genuinely excited to be writing for Torquecafe on a regular basis,” Dane said.
“It’s so important that truly independent motoring journalism is given a platform in this day and age, and Torquecafe is that platform.”
Torquecafe Editor-in-Chief, Damion Smy, welcomed Dane’s addition to the team.
“Dane brings a highly intelligent, analytical approach to motoring through articulate and independent viewpoints, Smy said.
“His fearless approach puts the reader in the driver’s seat and adds more authority to our growing editorial team.”
Dane also enables Speedcafe readers a familiar, respected contributor to connect them to OEMs on Torquecafe that they may see on race tracks, rally stages and elsewhere.
Torquecafe has recently launched a refreshed website as it expands to bring readers the best new car advice and reviews but also entertaining and engaging coverage and insights.
From supercars (the Ferrari and Lamborghini kind) to four-wheel drives and the new wave of electric vehicles, Torquecafe brings audiences into every angle of the automotive world.
Be sure to check out Dane’s first column which is live on the new site now – read it here.
