The Aston Martin Vanquish is turning 25, and rather than retire its flagship, it's set to die another day with the launch of a limited-edition special, built by its Q division.

Called the Vanquish 25, just 25 coupe and 25 Volante convertible versions will be made, either with 2+0 or 2+2 seating.

Underneath the bespoke trim it's the same third-generation Vanquish that arrived in 2024 as Aston Martin's most powerful series-production car in its 113-year history, meaning no changes to the show-stopping 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12.

The V12 beating heart still produces 614kW and 1000Nm, sending the Vanquish 25 from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds, and on to a top speed of 344km/h.

Aston Martin says the Vanquish 25's design draws inspiration from the original Ian Callum-designed Vanquish that debuted at the 2001 Geneva motor show, reworked with modern materials and finishing techniques.

Exterior changes are led by an exclusive Q Skye Silver paint finish, along with metal foil detailing on the side sills and shield vanes, foil Aston Martin script, and a bespoke exhaust finisher with stainless steel side strakes.

There's also unique 'Vanquish 25' badging and a subtle 'V' motif worked into the 21-inch forged alloy wheels.

nside, buyers get new trim perforation patterns and splits, seatbacks embroidered with the 'Vanquish 25' logo, laser-etched trim inlays, a bright red engine start/stop button surrounded by bespoke rotary detailing, and black Alcantara headlining.

Three interior colourways are offered: Onyx Black, Oxford Tan, or Phantom Grey.

Aston Martin's head of Q, Vittorio Gabba, said the special edition was a fitting way to mark the nameplate's history.

"25 years on from the unveiling of the very first Vanquish it is only right that we mark this nameplate's contribution to our heritage," Gabba said.

The Vanquish 25 will make its public debut at Monterey Car Week in California in August, with first deliveries slated for the final quarter of 2026.

Aston Martin hasn't released pricing, though given the exclusivity and bespoke Q treatment, buyers should expect a significant premium over the standard Vanquish's asking price of $753,000 plus on-roads for the coupe, and $813,000 for the Volante.
