Beyond the brand’s incredible heritage lies a fascinating trajectory into the future. As we previously reported back in 2020, Bentley outlined an ambitious plan to transition to electric vehicles by 2030, and as of 2024, it appears things are on track.
But it’s the influence and leadership from the world renowned car communications guru – Wayne Bruce, who happily enjoys the nickname the ‘Man Bat’, that is pioneering the path for this traditional, luxury car company.

Bruce has overseen the launch of iconic McLaren models such as the P1, Senna, 720S and the Speedtail (to name just a few) to join one of the UK’s most prestigious car brands Bentley in 2019, bringing his wealth of experience to guide the luxury car company into a new era.

Bruce is carefully guiding the company to “make Bentley the most diverse and inclusive luxury car company.” This includes an energetic push towards gender balance, a more inclusive approach to ethnicity, race and to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. They have quantitive targets for women in leadership of 25 per cent These are all bold moves.
The Belonging Bentayga is a representation of these steps forward. Using British architectural artist and autistic savant, Stephen Wiltshire, to paint 29 different landmarks from memory featuring nationalities of the world united in one design.

The Bentayga comes in a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine or a 3.0 litre hybrid. Similar to most modern Bentleys, you can pick up the Bentayga for just under $400,000. However, the exclusive Belonging Bentayga is a rarity, with only one original and one wrapped version in existence, making it a sought-after collector’s item.
Bentley’s journey, guided by Wayne Bruce’s vision, not only embraces innovation in electric vehicles but also marks a significant step towards a more inclusive and diverse luxury car industry.
