Aston Martin drops two wheels, unveils first road-legal motorbike

If you think some of Aston Martin’s recent cars have been wild enough – see: Valkyrie – then its latest collaboration with Brough Superior has stepped things up a notch.

Welcome to the AMB 002 Roadster, Aston Martin’s first ever road-legal motorbike, following earlier collaborations with Brough Superior which netted the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro track-only superbikes.

Designed by the Aston Martin Design Studio, the carbon fibre body of the AMB 002 Roadster is striking and sharp, accentuated by its central headlight which is flanked by aggressive panels, vented sides and a short rear end.

At the rear, the twin oval exhausts were penned as a tribute to those on the Aston Martin Vanquish, DB12 S and DBX S road cars, while the rear lights are akin to the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla’s.

Making sure it’s still a luxurious experience to own this Aston, its ignition is keyless and started up by pressing a backlit ignition button, while the rider sits on a hand-crafted saddle leather seat pad.

The titanium frame has been milled from a solid billet and weighs just 5kg, while lowering the centre of gravity on a bike which weighs 190kg all-up.

At the front, the suspension is a double-wishbone ‘Fior fork’ design, said to “separate steering and braking forces while maintaining precise control of the front-end geometry”.

Between the rider’s legs sits a water-cooled, 1083cc V-twin engine, producing 97kW and 110Nm, with Aston Martin claiming it has been “tuned for strong low and mid-range torque with a smooth and thrilling top-end”.

Just 300 examples of the AMB 002 Roadster will be made, and deliveries start in the third quarter of 2027. No price has been announced.
