The BMW M3 reached its milestone 40th birthday this year, with the six generations of one of the world’s most iconic sports cars etched into the annals of automotive history.

It’s a timely anniversary too, as BMW Australia is about to deliver its 10,000th M3 to a local customer – prompting a unique prize for the public to win.

Until June 30, 2026, BMW is launching a game of skill – or chance, depending on how you look at it – to find out if the public can pick key aspects of the 10,000th Australian-delivered M3.

Entrants who can predict the M3 model variant (from M3 sedan, M3 Competition xDrive sedan, and M3 Competition xDrive Touring), the paint colour (including from BMW’s wide range of Individual finishes), the plus state and date it’ll be delivered will win the prize.

That prize in question is the BMW M Snow and Ice Experience, held at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground on the South Island of New Zealand, near Queenstown.

The winner will receive return airfares, two nights’ accommodation and helicopter transfers to the proving ground (weather permitting), where they will be able to experience BMW M’s road cars on its motorkhana, drag sprint, barrel race and drifting courses.

Full competition terms, eligibility criteria and prize details can be found here.
