Honda ZR-V, Civic, Accord recalled
More than 500 Hondas have been recalled in Australia, after it was discovered the front seats in the ZR-V, Civic and Accord may be non-compliant with local regulations.
Honda Australia has instigated the recall of 554 vehicles across the ZR-V, Civic and Accord model lines, due to a shared fault which could mean the front seats don’t comply with regulations.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the left-side seatback frame edge on the driver and passenger seats may not meet the minimum radius requirements of the Australian Design Rule (ADR) 3/04 – Seats and Seat Anchorages,” Honda’s recall notice reads.
“In the event of an accident, contact with the seatback frame edge could increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.”
According to Honda Australia, the defect affects 2023-2025 ZR-Vs, 2024-2026 Civics, and 2025 Accords.
The carmaker says it’ll contact owners of affected vehicles in writing, requesting them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
