Ram Trucks Australia has recalled 149 examples of the 2026 1500 pickup, owing to a fault with its front lights.

“Due to a manufacturing issue, the parking lights and the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) may not illuminate as intended,” the recall notice reads.

“If the parking lights and DRLs do not operate as intended, the vehicle may be less visible to other road users. This could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

It’s the second time the Ram 1500 has been recalled in the past few months, with an August recall of 1262 examples issued due to a manufacturing defect, which means the second-row centre and left-side seat belt buckle anchors may not meet specifications.

Owners of affected Ram 1500s in Australia will be contacted by the brand to arrange the rectification of the fault through their preferred dealer.

For more information, owners can also contact their dealer or the Ram Trucks Australia Customer Centre on 1300 681 655.
