No, it’s not Vin Diesel. But you can buy one of the actual cars used in the hit movie series.
A classic Chevrolet Chevelle SS driven by Diesel in the 2009 installment, Fast & Furious, is up for auction through Lloyds Auctions. It features a suitable V8 engine, four-speed manual transmission, nitrous bottle and alloy wheels, so you can get the full movie experience.
The car was imported into Australia in 2012 by its current owner and comes with a certificate of authenticity from Universal Studios.
Lloyds Auctions’ chief operations officer, Lee Hames, is expecting this car to be the star of this weekend’s auction.
“This car was in fact the actual original ‘Hero Car’, driven by Vin Diesel himself on the set of the Fast and Furious 4 movie and was the principle car used whilst shooting the film,” Hames said.
“We expect this car to reach six figures this Saturday, but what the final figure will be is anyone’s guess as it will be a car to treasure and will go down in history forever.”
The movie car is one of more than 100 classic cars and motorcycles that are up for auction this Saturday. Check out Lloyds Auctions website for more classic American, Australian and European cars up for sale online between now and midday Saturday (September 26).
