LDV T60 ute prices cut despite significant upgrades
The 2027 LDV T60 ute has been revealed with a more powerful engine, new front-end styling, a redesigned interior and lower prices.
LDV Australia has launched the latest update to its T60 ute, the third facelift for the dual-cab in a decade bringing numerous upgrades, without the accompanying price tag.
Still based on the same T60 chassis which is entering 10 years of service in Australia, the updated ute features its most radical redesign yet.
The bodywork is new from the windscreen forward, with a front fascia that follows the design theme introduced on the Terron 9.

Inside, there is a new dashboard with a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, while the gear selector has moved from the steering column to the centre console.
LDV has cut the T60 lineup from three models to two: the Pro costs $37,990 drive-away for ABN holders and $39,989 for private buyers (a saving of $5264), while the Luxe costs $42,990 and $45,253, respectively.
Blanc White is the standard colour, with Metal Black, Concrete Grey and Vivid Red costing $500 extra.

Both variants get a black exterior trim pack, tyre pressure monitoring, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and six airbags.
Standard equipment on the Pro includes 17-inch alloy wheels, leaf-spring rear suspension, a rear differential lock and a rear-view camera.
The Luxe adds 18-inch wheels, multi-link rear suspension, front and rear differential locks, heated and power-adjustable leather-look seats, a 360-degree camera, a sports bar, a lockable tailgate and a tow bar kit.

Payload is 1040kg for the Pro and 980kg for the Luxe, and braked towing capacity is 3500kg. Service intervals are 12 months or 20,000km, and the warranty is seven years or 200,000km.
The T60 now uses the 2.5-litre single-turbo diesel from the larger Terron 9, producing 163kW and 520Nm (up 3kW and 20Nm on the 2.0-litre engine it replaces), and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel consumption is rated at 8.0L/100km for the Pro and 8.2L/100km for the Luxe.

"Because the updated LDV T60 range is so well equipped, we have reduced the model complexity and are now offering two attractive price points," said LDV Australia general manager Dinesh Chinnappa.
LDV has sold more than 46,000 examples of the current-generation T60 in Australia since late 2017, with the 2027 model due in showrooms in October.
