The latest iteration of the Nissan Z Nismo has arrived in Australia, and its first task was conquering one of Australia’s most famous driving roads – Lake Mountain.
Winding uphill from the Victorian town of Marysville to the top of the Cathedral Range State Park, Lake Mountain was once a popular hill climb venue. It was the ideal spot for Nissan to reveal its latest Nismo model, which packs a significant performance upgrade.
Powered by a 309kW and 520Nm twin-turbo V6 and sending its power to the rear wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission, the Z Nismo is the brand’s performance hero now that the GT-R has been removed from local sale.
Nismo upgrades include new aerodynamics, sports chassis, better brakes and RAYS 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels.
Nissan Australia sold its first allocation of 100 Z Nismo in 53 minutes, but have confirmed a refreshed supply of the model, which is priced from $94,000.
“As soon as we saw the pent-up demand for the Nissan Z NISMO, and the speed at which our first allocation was exhausted, we knew there would be fans of this iconic vehicle who had missed out on securing one for themselves,” said Andrew Humberstone, Nissan Australia Managing Director.
“That is why I’m so thrilled we’ve been able to secure additional vehicles to meet that demand. The Z NISMO is now available to be ordered through our Nissan dealer network, with deliveries to begin almost immediately.
“The Z NISMO is a vehicle that needs to be driven to be believed, and we’re so happy that even more Australians will now get the chance to do exactly that.”
