2026 Nissan Z: Manual Nismo, facelifted coupe priced

Nissan Australia has locked in pricing for the updated 2026 Z locally, with the sports coupe receiving a facelift alongside the addition of a three-pedal Z Nismo.

Unveiled globally in January, the 2026 Nissan Z has been updated with a new face which makes it appear even more like certain versions of the 280Z – which saw the grille split by a chrome bumper – while its new-look machined-lip wheels have also been inspired by the Z31 300ZX.

Now priced from $76,800 before on-road costs across both the nine-speed automatic and six-speed manual variants, it represents a $640 increase on its pre-update price.

In addition to the new bodywork, there’s also a new hero paint colour, with Unryu Green taking inspiration from the original Fairlady Z’s Grand Prix Green paintwork. Boulder Gray – a two-tone finish with a black roof – also rejoins the lineup

In the cabin, buyers can opt for a new tan upholstery for no extra cost, while there’s also now a new wireless smartphone charger, a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a revised start-up animation, plus a new design for the key.

Under the skin, the standard Nissan Z also gets Nismo-tuned monotube dampers with larger pistons, claimed to deliver better ride comfort and handling.

However, the big focus of the 2026 Nissan Z is the Nismo variant, which is now available as a six-speed manual, having previously been automatic only until the three-pedal was launched in December 2025.

Both Nissan Z Nismo transmission variants share the same price of $95,000 plus on-roads, representing a price increase of $395.

It retains the same design as previously, with the only other key change being its front brakes, now featuring two-piece front rotors, said to be derived from the R35 Nissan GT-R.

The Nissan Z continues to be powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine, sending up to 298kW and 475Nm to the rear wheels in the standard model, and 309kW and 520Nm in the Z Nismo.

Standard features in the Z carry across, such as its mechanical limited-slip differential, active noise control, four-way power-adjustable seats with heating, leather upholstery, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and eight-speaker Bose sound system.

The Nismo adds – among other features – the larger Akebono front brakes, Recaro seats, a unique bodykit and interior trim, as well as Rays 19-inch wheels shod in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tyres.

Nissan says the 2026 Z lineup is available to order this month, with first deliveries expected in September.
