2027 Chevrolet Corvette Z06: US supercar gets a price cut
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been given a refresh in Australia, with prices now starting from under $300,000 for the first time.
General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) has announced the updated Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is coming to Australia, and the European supercar killer has received a considerable price cut.
Now priced from $299,990 before on-road costs, it’s a $36,000 reduction on the starting price of the Z06 since it launched locally in 2023 as the flagship of the Corvette – and Chevrolet – range in Australia.
While a number of cars get price cuts to coincide with a reduction in features, the Corvette Z06 still has largely the same equipment as before, with its cabin treated to a refresh.

In May last year, Chevrolet revised the Corvette C8’s interior as a part of a mid-life update which saw the climate controls move to a far more compact panel, situated underneath the infotainment screen.
This allowed the central divider to adopt a semi-floating element, giving the interior slightly more light between the occupants, while the drive mode selector was changed from a knob to a simpler toggle switch.
The Corvette Z06 has also received larger (and more) screens, with the central infotainment screen growing to 12.7 inches from 8.0 inches, the digital instrument cluster increasing from 12 to 14 inches, and a new 6.6-inch touchscreen displaying additional vehicle information.

Otherwise the Corvette Z06 formula is largely unchanged, with its mid-mounted 5.5-litre flat-plane crank V8 engine continuing to produce 475kW and 595Nm, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Buyers can choose from 10 colours, three of which are new for the 2027 Z06: Pitch Grey Metallic, Admiral Blue Metallic and Roswell Green Metallic.
The supercar is also fitted with new-look wheels – measuring 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear – which can be ordered in polished, gloss black, pearl nickel, carbon flash for forged examples, or carbon-fibre finishes in visible carbon fibre, carbon-flash painted carbon fibre and visible carbon fibre with red stripe.

With Chevrolet’s ‘3LZ’ package equipped as standard, the Z06 features GT2 bucket seats with Napa leather upholstery and carbon-fibre garnish, a carbon-fibre steering wheel, a head-up display, performance data recorder, removable roof and Bose 14-speaker sound system.
Buyers can also opt for the Z07 Performance Package, adding magnetic dampers, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres, and a carbon fibre aerodynamic package.
Order books are now open for the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, with production to be on an as-order basis, starting in January next year.
