Ferrari’s latest F1 trend hits the road

The Ferrari 296 GTB can be finished in Rosso F1-75 Opaco, the same new colour as the F1 machine

You can’t drive Charles Leclerc’s Australian Grand Prix winning car, the Ferrari F1-75, but you can get one unique element of it on your car – the colour.

The Italian team introduced a new shade of red for the 2022 season, Rosso F1-75 Opaco, and now it’s available across the brand’s road car range. The new shade of red can be added across the Prancing Horse’s range, including the F8 Tributo despite Ferrari recently closing the order book on the twin-turbo V8.

Rosso F1-75 Opaco is a darker shade of red than Ferrari has run for the past 20 years in Formula 1, and has a satin finish rather than the traditional high-gloss look that the company has preferred in recent years.

Charles Leclerc’s F1-75 features an all-new colour this season

Given the strong start to the F1 season it’s likely Ferrari customers will be keen to pick the same colour as Leclerc and Carlos Sainz’s winning machine.

The new colour isn’t the only notable piece of Ferrari design news. A one-of-a-kind SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano custom built by Ferrari’s ‘Tailor Made’ program has been revealed, featuring an unusual seat material – denim.

A Ferrari SF90 owner has had their seats trimmed in denim

According to Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, which brokered the sale, the car is painted traditional Ferrari red but has a carbon fibre roof in ‘Scotland Blue’ but it’s inside where it really stands out. The owner has swapped out the typical Alcantara trim for Kuroki Superstone Bleach Denim and Blu Sterling leather for something different.

You can create your own Ferrari using the brand’s online configurator here.
