Honda reveals 2026 Africa Twin range for Australia
Honda's Africa Twin has sat near the top of the adventure class for years, and for 2026 the brand is leaning on that reputation rather than reinventing it.
The updated CRF1100L range gets a styling refresh drawn from Honda's rally heritage — new graphics and a fresh set of colours — while the mechanical package underneath carries over largely unchanged. The bigger news for buyers is a new six-year warranty, which Honda says is an Australian-first for the segment.
Four variants make up the line-up again: the standard Africa Twin, the Africa Twin ES, the Africa Twin ES DCT and the touring-focused Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT. Buyers can still choose between a manual gearbox or Honda's Dual Clutch Transmission depending on the variant.
Each model wears a single colour for 2026 — Pearl Glare White (Tricolour) on the standard bike and the ES, Grand Prix Red on the ES DCT, and Iridium Gray Metallic on the Adventure Sports ES DCT.
Power comes from the same 1,084cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, running Throttle by Wire with four preset ride modes — Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off-Road — plus a customisable USER mode. Every bike gets an adjustable rally windscreen, selectable ABS, seven-position Honda Selectable Torque Control, cruise control, tool-free seat height adjustment, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The range
The base Africa Twin (from $22,999 RRP) is the off-road pick of the range, with a slim build, 18.8-litre tank, fully adjustable Showa suspension and a 21-inch front/18-inch rear wheel combo. Suspension travel runs to 230mm up front and 220mm at the rear.
Stepping up to the Africa Twin ES (from $26,199 RRP, available soon) adds Showa's EERA electronically adjustable suspension — with Soft, Mid, Hard and Off-Road settings and adjustable rear pre-load — plus heated grips.
The Africa Twin ES DCT (from $27,499 RRP) pairs that ES hardware with the automatic-or-manual DCT gearbox and a dedicated G Switch to sharpen traction over rough ground.
At the top, the Adventure Sports ES DCT (from $29,899 RRP) is the long-hauler, swapping in a larger 24.8-litre tank, a lower seat, a 19-inch front wheel and shorter suspension travel for easier road manners.

The standard Africa Twin, ES DCT and Adventure Sports ES DCT are on sale now, with the Africa Twin ES to follow.
