Mystery surrounds cryptic Cadillac teaser
Hot off the back of winning the past three IMSA Sportscar Championship rounds with the V-Series.R, Cadillac is teasing something special.
Not many people would’ve had Cadillac on their bingo card for being a fan favourite of motorsports, but the luxury brand’s efforts in IMSA and the World Endurance Championship with its Le Mans Daytona prototype have made it so.
The Cadillac V-Series.R is the only car running a cross-plane crank V8, delivering a thunderous sound at high speed, as well as an iconic boom when it transitions from electric to engine power in the pit lane.
Having already racked up eight wins in global competition since debuting in 2023, the V-Series.R is among the most recognisable current race cars, and it looks like Cadillac wants to bring some of that energy to the road.
In a cryptic social media post, Cadillac announced it’ll be attending the Quail Motorsports Gathering as a part of Monterey Car Week later this month, where it’ll unveil something special.
“We're bringing something extraordinary to the Quail Motorsports Gathering in Monterey - a showcase of what happens when track-proven engineering becomes future luxury,” the brand said.
“Save the date. August 14th.”

It’s not yet known what it could be, though a handful of its competitors have made versions of their Le Mans competitors which the public can buy.
In 2023, shortly after winning in its return to Le Mans, Ferrari revealed a customer version of the 499P called the 499P Modificata. This was followed in 2025 by the Aston Martin Valkyrie LM, based on the Valkyrie AMR-LMH.
Finally Porsche last year unveiled the 963 RSP, a one-off road-legal creation made for Roger (Searle) Penske. McLaren also plans to make a track-only version of its MCL-HY model, launching next year.
