Nissan Patrol Warrior recalled
Nissan’s off-road ready Patrol Warrior has been recalled as the V8 4x4 may be fitted with a non-compliant part.
A recall of 354 examples of the Nissan Patrol Warrior has been announced, after it was discovered the large SUV has an incorrect – and non-compliant – tyre placard.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, some affected vehicles were fitted with an incorrect tyre placard,” the recall notice says.
“Vehicles with the incorrect tyre placard are non-compliant with Australian Design Rule 42/04 – General Safety Requirements. There is no safety hazard, and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.”

The Patrol Warrior is modified by Melbourne-based Premcar before being sold through Nissan’s dealer network.
Its huge 295/70R18 tyres are much larger than the standard 265/70R18 tyres on the rest of the Patrol range.
Owners of affected Patrol Warriors have been told to contact their local Nissan dealer to schedule an appointment to have the tyre label inspected and if necessary, replaced with the correct label, free of charge.
