Suzuki Jimny Rhino adds $10,000 to cult 4x4’s price
The Suzuki Jimny Rhino is here as a limited edition version of the pint-sized off-roader, launching at an eye-watering price.
Suzuki Australia is asking customers interested in the Jimny Rhino to fork out an additional $10,000 on top of the price of the five-door Jimny XL to get the new limited-run model.
Launched today after being teased as the new flagship of the Jimny lineup, the Suzuki Jimny XL Rhino starts from $44,990 before on-road costs in five-speed manual guise, and $47,490 plus on-roads for the four-speed automatic.
By comparison, the standard Jimny XL manual is priced from $34,990 plus-on roads, while the automatic is normally $37,490, representing a $10,000 increase in both instances.

Available solely in Kinetic Yellow (for the first time on the XL), the Jimny Rhino’s exterior is distinctive compared to the standard five-door SUV, with Rhino-themed side decals and dual side stripes leading back to Japanese script, which simply translates to ‘Rhino’.
The front bumper and side skirts feature a satin silver garnish, and are teamed with Suzuki’s retro-style grille which features the brand’s name, rather than five slats and its logo.
Under the guards are a new set of 15-inch, diamond cut alloy wheels which continue to be shod in Bridgestone Dueller tyres.

Inside the cabin has been treated to a minor makeover, now featuring customisable footwell lighting, LED ambient lighting, satin silver air vent surrounds and gear shift surround (automatic), a retro-style gear knob (manual, not pictured), leather-wrapped door handles with kinetic yellow stitching, rubber floor mats and Rhino Special Edition badging.
On top of this, all Jimny Rhino buyers will get a ‘delivery pack’ full of additional goodies, including: a Rhino-branded metal key presentation case, key chain, blanket, thermos tumbler, and cooler box, a bucket hat, a kinetic yellow portable lantern, a drink bottle, and a special bluetooth speaker.

To top it off, the package includes ‘Rhino Rations’, such as a Koko Black 9-piece Dark Chocolate Pistachio praline box.
For the extra $10,000, the Jimny XL continues with its existing powertrain, consisting of a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 75kW and 130Nm, driving all four wheels through a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
Suzuki Australia hasn’t detailed how many Jimny Rhinos will be offered locally, only saying there is ‘limited production’ of the 4x4 from India.
