It’s back! Ford’s famous ‘Supervan’ has been revived for a fourth-generation and this time, instead of a GT40 V8 or some turbocharged engine the blue oval has gone electric.
Teaming up with Stard, the company behind the all-electric rallycross cars, the latest Ford Supervan is powered by a quartet of electric motors. Combined these motors make a whopping 1471kW of power.
The one-of-a-kind van debuted at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it was driven up the famous driveway by former Pikes Peak winner and Le Mans veteran, Romain Dumas.
Fortunately, Ford engaged motorsport presenter Nicki Shields to take a deep dive into the project. Check out the video below to hear all about the creation of this truly super van.
