Gordon Murray has made his career pushing the limits of automotive design. From his world-championship winning Formula 1 cars to the McLaren F1 supercar and his latest GMA T.50, Murray is always looking for the next step in car evolution.
Recently he revealed the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50s Niki Lauda, a specific track-only version of the T.50 hypercar. Only 25 examples of the T.50s Niki Lauda will be built, each named after an F1 win by a Murrary-designed car.
Below you can check out the official launch reveal video of the T.50s Niki Lauda, narrated by Indycar legend Dario Franchitti, that goes into amazing depth on how Murray went about designing this striking machine.
Murray reveals several of the nods to some of his iconic F1 machines, not just the famous ‘Fancar’ Niki Lauda raced at the 1978 Swedish Grand Prix.
Murray even makes a bold claim that the T.50s Niki Lauda could go unbeaten as the ultimate track-day special.
