If you’re in the market for a piece of Australian performance car history, then you’re in luck.
Former Supercars champion James Courtney is selling his former company car, not his Supercar, but his 2016 HSV GTS. The 2016 example is currently listed on Carsales with an asking price of $89,990.
In a Facebook post Courtney says he’s selling the HSV in order to buy a new set of wheels, with a dual-cab ute the most likely replacement.
The 2016 GTS is one of the best sports sedans produced in Australia, part of the final years of locally-made cars. It features a 6.2-litre supercharged ‘LSA’ V8 making 430kW of power and 740Nm of torque. It rides on 20-inch matte black forged alloys, with six-piston brake calipers and AP Racing cross-drilled discs.
Importantly for collectors Courtney’s GTS is reportedly GTS build number 001. And if that’s not enough, Courtney will also do a meet and greet with the new owner.
