Ford has announced a new collaboration with off-road specialists, ARB 4×4 Accessories to make it easier for owners to upgrade their Ranger or Everest.
The two Australian companies have joined forces to allow Ford owners to use ARB accessories with the full backing of the blue oval’s factory five-year warranty. Customers will also be able to buy the parts directly through Ford dealerships, further simplifying the process.
The deal is possible because both Melbourne-based operations worked together to get the parts tested and validated by Ford Australia engineers at the car maker’s local proving grounds.
“ARB is truly honoured to be working with Ford at a global level,” said ARB managing director, Andrew Brown. “This collaboration is a great testament to the progressive vision of Ford and ARB to deliver to customers highly capable off-road vehicles with a broad range of best-in-class accessories.”
The deal is set to commence officially in the second half of the year, so the full range of products hasn’t been confirmed yet. Ford has revealed what you can expect though, with ARB bull-bars, electric winches and driving lights all priority items.
Ford Australia CEO, Andrew Birkic, said he was proud to partner with a successful Australian company and said the deal was born out of a desire to make off-roading easier for owners.
“A lot of our customers have told us they’d love to be able to access a wider range of quality off-road accessories through our Ford dealership network, and this collaboration will mean they can head off-road safely with access to a range of ARB accessories.”
Full details of the new parts and pricing will be revealed closer to the start of sales in the second half of the year.
