A new television show dedicated to all-things on two-wheels is set to debut this weekend on free-to-air.
The AusMotoShow will be hosted by long-time presenter and bike advocate, Kate Peck, and will feature guests from across the motorcycling world, but with a focus on Motorcycling Australia’s growing racing series. The show’s first five episode run will air on SBS, starting this Sunday at 1pm.
“It’s been way too long since we’ve had a moto show on TV, dedicated purely to two wheels, and our world-class athletes and the joy and passion of riding,” said Peck, who is a member of Motorcycling Australia’s Women’s Committee.
Motorcycling Australia’s CEO, Peter Doyle, said the decision to start the show came thanks to the rejuvenation of both track and off-road racing, including the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), motocross and the Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).
“This year we have seen massive interest in our MA National Championships across ASBK, ProMX, AORC and speedway, which have seen significant crowds returned to the tracks again this year, as well as coming off one of the best years in motorcycle sales in 2020,” Doyle explained.
“The AusMoto Show will showcase these high profile Championships and put a spotlight on MA’s other disciplines, as well as focus on growing a new audience to our sport here in Australia,” he added.
Guests for the first show will include ASBK young gun Oli Bayliss, Speedway ace Jason Doyle and AORC champion Jessica Gardiner.
The first episode will also lead into coverage of the opening round of the Australian Off-Road Championship from Golden Beach, Victoria.
