It’s been five years since Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies announced plans to build the world’s fastest car – and now the first customers are ready to receive their cars.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie has been a partnership between the British sports car brand and the Formula 1 team, with legendary designer Adrian Newey shaping his first road car. The goal was to create the fastest road car in the world, a machine that could lap Silverstone as fast as a 2016-spec F1 racer.

The result is a hybrid V12-powered hypercar, with 865kW of power and 752Nm of torque, with a body shaped by Newey’s aerodynamic expertise.
With development and testing finally complete – with input from the likes of Max Verstappen and Alex Albon along the way – Aston Martin has begun building the 150 Valkyries. Each will be hand-built by a specialist team at the British brand’s headquarters in the UK.
Each car will be tested at Silverstone before it is delivered to its new owner.
Aston Martin CEO, Tobias Moers, wasn’t at the brand for the beginning of the project but is proud to oversee it coming to fruition, with the Valkyrie playing a vital role in the brand’s move into mid-engine supercars.
“It is an immensely proud moment for us to complete our first ever hypercar,” Moers said. “The Aston Martin Valkyrie programme has tested everyone who has worked on it to the limit but the commitment to the dream has produced a truly incredible car, an F1 car for the road. The Valkyrie is born out of the steadfast dedication of a large group of highly skilled engineers and technicians who have worked tirelessly to get Valkyrie to the production stage. I’m sure our customers will be delighted with what they have achieved.”

The Valkyrie project was designed to demonstrate Aston Martin’s ability to build supercars, rather than just specialise on its front-engine GT models like the Vantage and DB11. An all-new Valhalla has already been revealed and a new mid-engine model carrying the Vanquish nameplate is also expected.
