The late Ken Block’s final installment has been released to the world – Electrikhana TWO: One More Playground.
The automotive trendsetter passed away in January but had already filmed this second film in his all-electric Audi S1 e-tron ‘Hoonitron’ in November 2022. Electrikhana was Block’s partnership with Audi to promote electric vehicles as exciting, dynamic and cool, with the German brand reportedly spending $12 million to create the one-of-a-kind Hoonitron.
Block’s Gymkhana franchise of YouTube videos have become a part of the automotive culture around the world. What began as a simple video to test out a custom-made Subaru Impreza WRX STI turned into a true cultural phenomenon that now includes more than a dozen installments, including the Electrikhana and Climbkhana spin-offs.
Block’s daugher, Lia, is carrying on her father’s legacy in racing and will compete in the F1 Academy series in 2024. But for fans of drifting, donuts and Block’s visonary eye for car culture, Electrickhana TWO is a fitting farwell.
